Rc on the left has better surface area so will be more effient

I'd be checking the cooling temp of the water used

I'd also run the rc flat out and see if anything gets past it

I can do 93% off 4plates

Do these stills come with a operating video or instruction sheets for the newbie operator. This could save a lot of heartache for the new owner. A full walkthrough would be so handy for people moving to this type of still. :-D

Since this is an illegal activity in AU , your going to need to watch YouTube videos posted by Kiwis or the like

When I got mine mate I was welcomed to visit the supplier for an over view. Being so far away made it difficult, coupled with my impatience meant I ran my 4 plate on my own.

It only took a couple of runs to understand the process. I was lucky as I had been using my pot still for a year so understood the basics.

Plenty of advice can be found on here, even just using the set up as a pot still initially until things are understood.

Personally I have visited members who did not know anything but just could not grasp the process. This guy could not get his ferments to work, nor could he get his airstill to work. So not sure how basic things need to get for someone making such a big investment.

Between this forum and the suppliers back up I believe everyone gets there eventually. As Stig said being illegal does make it difficult to put instructions online

No problems I understand the legal implications. Plenty of info out there. Just getting it from the horses mouth so to speak makes it a lot easier and you know it is the right info.

You are very correct there :)

Plenty of face book and YouTube advisers who are actually giving poor advice, even dangerous, so understand completely where you are coming from.

Have a direct connection to the supplier makes a huge difference and something most von here value as highly as the quality of the product. :)

As you say straight from the horses mouth is pure gold
