New Bubbler Setup

Postby ]Ned[ » Thu Jun 22, 2023 11:00 pm

Hi Guys

So my new column has arrived from china, and just need some advice on stacking the Tees, I know I’ve read a lot about leaks around the plate affecting ABV output.

so the tees do not have a recess for the copper plates and the bubble plate would sit up top of the silicone seal and the whole lot would get sandwiched with the clamp. So should I trim the seals to allow the plates to sit directly on the top of the tee, then wrap the edge in plumbers tap thick enough to makes its own seal when clamped?

Thanks in advance, wanna get on top of this from the get to?

Cheers Ned

Ned,

The Chinese plate seals have a thinner rubber lip/face on the inside of the bead compared to the outside of the bead if you look closely at them. Also the plates are thinner than FSD plates as well. No need to trim seal inside bead, just put the plates on top of the seal and put the next T or RC on top to make your joint.

Cheers

Get rid of the red and blue hoses, they are too small inner diameter to hold full reflux
