:)) yeah Bt1 thats the stuff. normally drink westies at home (yeah I know) but here its that or sparking
(sparking: not recommended ifen ya driving). the section we used was filled to 500mm on I think 5 plates. I was thinking we should try cutting that down but am now thinking this might fuck up the faints compression and maybe I might talk to EG about going the other direction and compare the compression. The build is looking awesome BTW

I take spirit quality very seriously, but beer I buy on price, I'll drink any beer as long as its not warm and not from SA.

Curious to see if your packed section works as planned. It does look a lot shorter than what we used, but that may be all thats needed.
We only used a bottom plate, the rocks are not going to defy gravity (and they didn't when we tried).

Looking good mate.

It's really not that hard..

even with basic tools that's how this girl has been done and for specialist bits pm EG he can run up whatever you need...helps if you've got handle on soldering however.

Does require some patience must admit, especially as lack of tools limit what you can do.

reckon the go is get a simple still you can make a good drop with take the presure off and then take your time with one of these perf platers...it will take a while.

cheers

Howdy,

learn a few tricks over the past few days...

Warming up col and also chilling the plates gives you a part of a mill diff in terms of tollarance fit
Lots of veggie oil

Anyway plate drains are in...got some cute little 316L SS 1/2" to 3/8" nipples that go straight in 316 SS ball valves ...happy with this.

Should be ready for sight glasses when they lob...end is in sight!

A rather flat/tired

Howdy all,

many thanks to Cupcake and Mac for supplying some loaner sight glasses...I get to play second assembly today.

btw EG has some of the coolest cork gaskets for glasses.

Now for those not in the know I'm somewhat adverse to posting pictures mainly cos my old school $49 phone takes shit shots.

However I might sneak a shot in while she's getting a second vinegar run and final leak testing...but then again no one's really interested in a home built perf plater these days...
