You're not far from the mark.
A couple of nights tossing and turning in your sleep, an it'll all fall into place.

Hang in there bloke.

There's nothing i like more than to see you fellas thinking up new ideas and designs. If you think of something, post it so we can discuss, no matter how stupid you may think it is. This is why we joined a discussion forum..... to share ideas.
Keep it up everyone and don't be too hard on yourself Bt1 ;-)

Progress...

Downcomers at 90 rather than trad 180 degree..thermal balance ???, flow across plate not directed at next downcomer...just an idea.

If anyone had told me cutting a keg was easy i would have laughed at em...But it is! Don't forget i consider myself lacking in the metalwork skills area...but learning fast!

A cheap Bunnings Dremmel clone for $39, Dremmel stem and cutting disks...like a hot knife through butter. Run the big grinder out to edge first, not really required and away we go!
This cutter has replaced my hacksaw, grinder in part, shapes as well...very happy with it.

Image001.jpg

motivation+basic tools+persistance+spray lube = result...4" output in no time ...give it a crack!

Image002.jpg

Bloody fantastic these $11 per 5 pkt and about $15 for the special EZI lock stem... 1/2 the price of a hole saw

Hello unsub,

was thinking it would clip onto the cross brace for central col plates rod.

It's fairly easy to make and for gins reckon it will be great..
