I have found my product to be better than the early days, cant say if it's experience or bath depth but 25mm has been serving me well for around 2 years now :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Ahh well that's enough for me :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Reading some other threads, I had thought you'd gone TO 10mm bath depth.

Are you thinking of bubble caps, or seive plates?

Sieve plate EG...

If I can master the ezy flange, I want to make each plates section a modular piece...or just do 3 plates in straight column with a 4th modular and the possibility for more later...

It all rests on being able to do about 16 ezy flanges :p

if I can pull it off, you can too. For me, and I'm not the craftsman that these guys are, but i just madegood square cuts on the pipe, stood it on its end on a flat piece of steel to make sure it was square, and brazed 1"4 od tubing around it. knocked it flat with a hammer, and was off.If i were to do it again, i think i would hammer it flat before brazing it to the pipe, but live and learn

Nice work tickle :handgestures-thumbupleft:

So you just slide the ring of tube over, hammer flat, and braze as is shown on HD.

A lot of guys here flare the ends out with a hammer and anvil before sliding the ring over, which would give more strength...

Like Crow said don't worry about flaring it, just make a good ring with the 1/4" and solder it on :handgestures-thumbupleft: :handgestures-thumbupleft:

So if flaring is the ezy flange...just flattening the ring and soldering (hard) must be the ezy peezy flange?

Better than the gaping flange ;)
