Bought some of this yeast off FSD team, and keen to give it a try.

Have been using Lowans up until now. Is there any difference on the quantities of yeast required, or just use the yeast like I would Lowans?

Just use it the same as Lowans - a sprinkle on the top :handgestures-thumbupleft:

The SAF instant Gold is made to be a sweet dough yeast, it’s higher sugar tolerant than bakers yeast and doesn’t impart as much yeasty flavours as bakers yeast.
You will get away with using slightly less than Lowans (50g vs 70g) in a 25L wash.
Enjoy :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I've been using this yeast lately on my weet bix and cornflake washes. It's a deadset powerhouse. Doesn't take long to kick off and chews through the sugar. My cuts have been bigger to. My last all weetbix wash I didn't adjust the pH, it started at 6.4 with an sg of 1.080 and was finished dry in a few days and cleared pretty good a few days after that. Temps of 30⁰c. Shits all over lowans yeast which has a tendency to stall out for me as it gets close to 1.010 and takes a bit of adjusting and time to get it to finish. Not the saf gold, boom its a hungry bastard.
If you havnt tried it, give it a go.

How does this stuff go with AG Whiskey Mash? Or am I better off spending the money on the SafSpirit M-1 for example?
