Ok, so I want to put down my usual cornflake wash but realized that I was short on yeast. So racking around I found a pkt of Triple Distilled and a pkt of Classic from my uneducated days an thought why not...
Well, to get a balance i threw the lot along with all the bakers yeast I had into a bowl, mixed it all up and used that.
My usual recipe is 500g pkt corn flakes, 4kg white sugar, 27l of water and 60g of bakers yeast and I get it to ferment out in 4-5 days here in Qld.
This mix I put down yesterday, sg of 1070 as usual and locked the shed. I went into the shed just now and fermentor 1 has finished with a fg of 995 with 2 and 3 going slow and both below 1000.
The washes don't have that rancid "turbo" smell but I'm wondering if I might have over stressed my little yeasties and if I am going to be just wasting my gas to run this.
Any thought's welcome!
