twin keg boiler

Hey,
I've been working on my new keg and the light bulb flashed before my eyes...did you all noticed the short blackout?...lol could you run two kegs side by side with a common junction in the middle for the still to be conected ? a plated still ofcorse... and run 80lts at once??? what do you all think?

I got two kegs welded together and have never looked back.

If you are after a large volume boiler an old hot water service will work.
Only problem with your idea would be you have to heat 2 kegs, and there is more surface area for heat loss.

i'll have to do that once i outgrow the 50L i'm putting together

ok...it was just an idea, I did think about welding together but thought it would be heaps harder to get to the right temp, how much harder is it to get to temp??

I run the dash 2. With 2 x 2400w elements. Flat out for both with 80 ish l come to the boil under a hour. I then use my voltage controller on one of the elements (reading anywhere from 4 to 7.5 amps) an the other one flat out for the rest of the run. Voltage controller was easy to build and give me controll all the way in .1 of an amp steps.
