zuccini & potato juice for fermenting and nutrient

Postby B-Man » Sun Dec 31, 2023 1:34 pm

We have got a massive crop of zucchinis this year and have made zucchini fritters. to do this we squeeze out the zucchini juice. I was thinking this might be similar to a kale wash?
has anyone made a zucchini wash before?

also we add potatoes and squeeze the juice to of that too is this something that could be fermented with yellow angel yeast? any ideas on how to work out what the SG would be and what nutrients I would need to add?

I doubt there would be much sugar(google search 2.5% sugar.) Also no starch so yellow label aint going to help. But it may be a good nutrient for neutral. I would make a sugar was and start with same amount of zucchini as kale. Blend it add it.

I was thinking zucchini as nutrient like the kale wash but its probably not as good.

and then the potatoes might be able to be done on their own... with a nutrient? are you saying there will be no starch in potato juice?

I'll see how long it takes to get a decent amount of potato juice... haven't made anything with potatoes since thinking of it.
