Howdy,

Hope it turns out..never found a green veg that works for me..too much carry over even at 94%+ on the CM type still.

big fan of pumkin but...use this instead of TPW for a softer flavoured drop.

Let us your results

cheers

Howdy,

The flavour carries over into the final product...there's just too much of it for my tastes if your making a neutral type product.

Give it a try see what you think

Hey Croweater, when you say Legumes are high in nitrogen, Im not sure. That may be technically true but im not sure its free nitrogen that is available to the yeast to consume. Its not like like DAP or super phosphate where the nitrogen is available for plant/yeast growth.

:handgestures-thumbupleft: yep it is BTW superphosphate could be used (I wouldn't) to adjust ph but have nothing really for yeast to consume

Potatoes ... yeah bout that they will work but supposedly the yield is quite low so only really worth it if you can get a lot of spuds for cheap/free , not an easy way to get a neutral

I recon ill just use them as a nutrient, like half tin of tomato paste,4 potatoes mashed in there,4 kilos sugar, etc.might even leave the tomato out.. :D

Hey mate, I bought one of these when I started. I've used it for a few times for rum and it works OK. If I had my time again I'd get one from the guys here or build one. Comparison is about $680 for the pure distilling head and 30L boiler, or more like $350-400 for a 2" pot on a 50L converted keg.

Ok I'm defiantly taking you guys advice here, just had a look at them in the store part.they look so long compared to the pure distilling one.can these be made to fit the beer me 30 ltr boiler that you get with pur distilling as I got there reflux still with boiler. :handgestures-thumbupleft: cheers. :text-thankyoublue:
