After the first failed attempt of filtering through tissues I just strained the batch through a ssteel strainer but it looked quite good, so added the syrup and well left it for a week or so and then went to filter through the strainer with paper towels, that's when I noticed a small amount of gelitinized Jam in the bottle.filtered out and all was good :-B

I've never had a bottle last over a week, though I mix the syrup with the neutral when the lady wants some. Picked up some strawberrys and blueberrys on special last week so will try another batch. Going to try a touch of sour from the blueberrys to balance it a bit

Here's my first attempt, just started it an hour ago. I've only got 40% at the moment, so that's what I added to 900g of frozen mixed berries on offer at Woolies.
It's also a heads up for the jar and stand (3.5 litre capacity) , $12 from the Reject Shop. I'll get another in the week for a mango spirit.

No, it's plastic,.... I hadn't thought about that. It's "chromed" so I'll give it a chance..... Or get the wife onto sourcing stainless.
Got another today, mango.
