I am finally getting closer to building my all grain system. One brew in a bag 50 litre batch was too much work. So I have searched the internet and picked up 2 kegs. I have a 50 litre milk can boiler so I basically almost have a 3 vessel system. Minus of course all the work in cutting the top off these kegs, adding taps, sight glasses thermometers etc.

Hopefully the Stig can clarify this rims set up for me, does this kit include the element? Also is there a spot to add a thermocouple to the flow or do I need to add this somewhere else?

That is the reason I asked the question. The 5 star price with an element is the same price as just the tube everywhere else. It seemed to be too good to be true

Have you managed to set this up yet? I struggling to work out a way to have a temperature probe installed on the discharge side of the rims tube. Any pointers? I'm trying to work out all the parts I need before I order
