FSD Mac-4 SSG, $1690

This still is exactly the same as the FSD Mac-4 except it has the screw on sight glasses (SSG)

These units as a complete package are $1750.

For the investment of $1750 you get a four plate bubbler made of 304 Stainless Steel and personal after sales service & support by phone 7 days per week, you also get one of Australia's most experienced plated column users/builder to guide you through the initial stages of setup and run strategies.

No one even comes close to offering this type of product or service, with quality & experience you can trust.

Here's the pic of the SSG dismantled, the glass is toughened borosilicate (pyrex) 10mm thick.

The outer gasket is PTFE & the inner is EPDM, I chose the EPDM on the supplier's recommendation for distillation, being that it is softer and less prone to leaking than PTFE, also that they say it is less likely to break down than silicone.

Cheers :D

I can personally vouch for the quality of these new sightglasses, they seal beautifully and are easy as to assemble.

As for the thickness I was blown away, 10mm is pretty damn thick when you are talking about a sight glass :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Makes for a cleaner look as well I reckon :D

Not to mention the quality of the rest of the still, unbelievable the manufacturing that has gone into these things, and one of the best things for me.... easy as hell to clean :happy-partydance: Cleaning stainless to cleaning copper there is no comparison :handgestures-thumbupleft:

What's the difference between the tri clamps and these screw type lenses mac? Other then the cleaner look. Are the lenses the same on these vs the tri clamp ones?

Cheers mate

The glass is the same material, just much much thicker & virtually unbreakable.

The SSG's are really easy to remove and install on a standing column, nowhere near the care needed of the clamped style SG's.

Cheers :D

Although I'm a little frightened by the height. Mine should end up much the same as sams in the pic above yeah? Any idea on the total height including the keg roughly? Can always run it out the back if it doesn't fit in the kitchen.
