I plan on upgrading to one of your 4 inch bubblers with my Tax Cheque but I will shoot you an email about that soon.
What about putting a Ball in the top of a Block Head ? Any potential issues with that ?

You did see this yeh ?
Issues ?
only that by top entry you would lose any height advantage gained by the blockheads design, I'd much prefer it installed as I linked to and pictured previously :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Yes I did see it. I still don't get how that is going to clean the PC.
Not concerned about the height as I have 3.2m and was only looking at 4 plates. I CBF with neutrals. I don't drink them anyway.

2 inch gets welded in
ball clamps to the 1.5 to 2 inch reducer ? reducer clamps to 2 inch ferrule ?
that's what it looks like to me.
or Maybe the second triclover is the threaded section and the ball is actually 2 inch ?

Here's the design I've chosen to work with for clamped applications.
This is just a sample I have to work with at the moment and am just finalizing sizes & fittings etc, for different sized stills :handgestures-thumbupleft:

And here it is installed for testing in a 4" x 2" tee

I need 3 different sizes, 3 fitting options & 3 installation options..... it's getting real expensive and may not be worth supplying to the hobbyist :angry-banghead:

Yeah that's how I figure it too, I just want to know if the ball goes through the 1.5"side reason is I want to use a temp dial indicator and that ferule is 1.5".
Oops to slow

Oops to slow
For 4" stills I'll be attaching via 1.5" and having the smaller ferrule 3/4" :handgestures-thumbupleft:
6" rigs & boilers > 250L will attach as above pic
8" rigs & boilers over 250L will attach via 3"

Curios about the bearing setup as far as cleaning goes, how do you clean them I am just thinking they would clog up after a while. :-B

You would need some serious gunk going through your rig to clog them in a hurry, you will still need to clean your balls occasionally x_x
oh no, did I just say that :O)
