Personally I like to see people build their own stills , but these things are a bloody good deal, I reckon it cost me that or more to build mine using all new materials . Needle valves , sight glasses, triclamps, copper pipe in 4 inch , 2 inch, 3/4 inch, 1/2 inch, 4 inch and 2 inch reducers, solder , flux, mapp gas just to name a few.......it all adds up.
Anyone thinking about building would probably be better of jumping on one of these. im almost tempted myself.

:text-+1: Totally agree I thought of building then after considerable research found that the Diy option cost is near the same if not more . Then the time to build it ..well i take to long to build things .
And could you emagine what i would have had to put up with from bushy :laughing-rolling:

Yes of course building your own gives a great sense of satisfaction, but let's face it not many people these days have the time & resources to do it, but we do stock a full range of gear for those who wish to :handgestures-thumbupleft:

If I knew a few years ago what I could get today for 1.5k I wouldnt have bothered building bugger all, but this type of gear wasn't available to us back then...

I still enjoy building things on a small scale, but to take on a build of this type with no experience or tools & equipment can be costly and frustrating, so with these stills we're really only catering for those who want the best there is straight up without all the hassles of DIY :D

These stills are the bees knees.
If you want to skip the frustration of building one for yourself... you couldn't do better than a Mac 4" SSG.

These days building is for those that want to and have the background and tools to support it.
Considering it can take up to a couple of months part time to make one.
I like making things and making different from everyone else.
If I didn't there would only be four available. :D

I think I belong to a quiet group that hate building stills :)) I took 2 years to build my reflux still, took so long because I couldn't be arsed.
It's great to be able to buy a top of the line still and be pumping out great hooch in no time at all.

I love looking at the build threads and admiring the stuff people are making but building will never again be for me :wtf:
