FSD forum giveaways - fun comp

Postby MacStill » Fri Jun 13, 2014 1:17 pm

Hi all,

Over the next four weeks we'll be running a fun little comp for the forum members, and to make it fair on everyone the prize give aways will be fairly random.

Here's how it will work:

There will be no real rules to this comp other than it's got to be distilling related, prizes will be awarded on the friday afternoon of each week.

The mods will select two members each week for a 1st & 2nd prize.

What will the prizes be awarded for ?

Anything that is helpful, on topic & worthy content for the forum members, the best pic, topic or post, or even just for being of good character. prizes will be given out totally random to members and posted out the following monday free of charge. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

So what's the prizes ?

Up for grabs for first prize each week is 1 x 2400w Element & guard valued at $100 posted free

ELEMENT KIT.JPG

For 2nd prize each week is 1 x 2400w element valued at $50 posted free

ELEMENT A.JPG

How do I get my prize ?

Once selected your username will be posted in this thread by one of our moderators, I'll then send you a PM so we can get your address in private and arrange your postage for you.

That's all there is to it, so get posting out on the forum before we announce todays winner later on this evening :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Cheers,

Mac.

So after much deliberation the results are finally in and the winning distillers are as follows:

1st Prize

Kickarum for his unique pot build that sparked some interest as it isn't a common looking still that we see here. You can check it out here

2nd Prize

Davecuds for his brandy comparison between a pot still and bubbler. Great thread starter that is a good read on a drink that not many make. You can have a read here

Congrats to both our winners for this week  hope you enjoy your lovely FSD shiny prizes ;-)

Now get your fingers tapping and start posting for your chance to be one of next weeks winners. Remember as the original posts states the reasons for the winners this week don't reflect what future winners may post, so lets get creative hey? As they say winners are grinners :D

Mr and Mrs Mac must be making too much money off us guys/gals. 8-}

But, top marks for coming up with this idea.

If I could come up with something worthwhile and score an amazing element, I may have to convert to elec! :-p

only way to win is by being active, and the mods are already looking for next weeks winners so get creative and post up something cool like pics or some original distilling artwork, even just making the mods laugh has a chance.

Have fun guys, that's all it's about..... winter is miserable enough :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Geez the forum's been flat chat with great content being added this past week, the crew have quite a lot to review for this weeks winners on Friday evening

There's only a couple of days to go until they decide the winners, no decisions have been finalized so keep the posts coming.

If anyone sees a post or thread that they think should be nominated, feel free to PM me with a link so I can put it on the shortlist... If a member has helped you out, you can give them the nod that might score them some sweet FSD goodies :)
