:violence-smack: :violence-smack: slap me back for being a fussy bitch :laughing-rolling:

Your point was valid :handgestures-thumbupleft: .There are a few variations of pot values that need to be observed between these controllers .

This is going to be a lifesaver! or at least a money saver.... I don't know if this was covered, but do you know what wattage of heater coil is the most this would handle? or does it have a limit? Also does the PSR-25 need to be mounted on a heat sink or would the fan be enough cooling on it's own?

Thanks for sharing!

oh and one more question, all the voltmeter's i can find cheaply are digital with 4 wires (2 for supply and 2 for input) how would that wire in?

the 25 in PSR-25 is the AMPS , theoretically it can handle a 3600watt which is 15AMP. i would highly suggest you use a heat sink over the fan. but would highly recommend both

it doesnt state the operating current load though  could be dangerous , calcs say max 18 amps, 16 amps if you use 240VAC thats cutting it close

I will only be running 1 x 2400 watt off it . That controller should handle 16 amps so i will let you know :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Sorry Punchy no highjack intended.

all these could, should & maybe comments need to be left out of this thread, unless you're qualified and can say "it will work" then you need to refrain from giving advise on electrical matters.

Cheers.

Too true Mac "use a licenced sparky" is what he was saying.

An analog meter will be more sensitive and accurate, digitals can be influenced by interference more...

Im assuming from your name your from Canada or Oz?? 8-}

Agree analog will be alot smoother than the digitals thay bounce around a bit.

Using an online calculator I found that @ 25A and 240v the peak load rating of the circuit is 6000W - 20% overhead for safety would put it's capacity @ 4500W. Is my math or understanding of the relationship off?

Oh and I intend to use both heatsink and fan, for good measure. Thanks

you got it mate :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Are you planing on running 4500W off it? If so you'll need a 20A outlet...

Will be using a 2200w to start with, and see how it performs, just wanted to future proof in case I feel the need for more watts. I'll keep the outlet amperage in mind for then.

What's different about a 20A outlet? I know the garage has a 20A circuit breaker dedicated to it on the panel.....

Raises another question, what gauge of wire should be used for the internal wiring of the controller?

Will be on its own circuit unlike a 10A outlet which can have a shitload more - and protected by the 20A breaker you mentioned, and the outlet is rated to carry 20A...

2.5mm2 will be ok for 2200w
