Anyone with the electrical know how tell me if I can use a 1.1A ( max rated) water pump with a 1.5A rated transformer. I have a spare transformer that I dont use from a Hard drive, it will save me buying a new one.

Provided the transformer is 12v you are OK as the ampage capability of the transformer at 1.5 amp is higher than the 1.1 amp demand of the pump.

Its fine so long as its 12 vdc not 12 vac. If you have run the pump and it works your good to go.
