A vinigar and water clean run at least

o'right, ive run this bad boy a few times now and i got sick of the gas cos i was using way to much for what i was doing so i upgraded to electric.

I've got 4400 watts to burn during stripping runs and as i mentioned in another thread i was blowing out steam. Someone suggested to shove up some copper to slow add some turbulance so i'm gonna try that my next strip run.

My question is, is it worth upgrading me pot? I've got 2" down to a 3/4 over 1/2 liebig. I'm building me shotgun that's 2" x 550 long. 5x3/8 tubes. Will this be alright for the power i'm throwing at it or should i try and go bigger?

Was at the scrappy today and they have a few things i can pickup, didn't have cash today so hopefully its all there + more on friday when i can sneak around next time :handgestures-thumbupleft:

You say "it's blowing steam" but in reality you can not see alcohol vapour, so if you can see it I wouldnt worry. Every now n then I get a little huff of whitish looking vapour steam from even a big 3" shotgun but it's not a concern :handgestures-thumbupleft:

The shotgun your talking about will knock down 4400 watts no drama, especially if they're the keg king elements that dont work after a few uses :laughing-rolling:

nah they not the keg king ones.

keg king only 2200 watts :laughing-rolling:

I'm actually quite surprised at how heavy the shotgun is, hopefully me tri clamps will support the weight fine :))

have you got 3 phase in your shed?

If not what are you running it off? your standard 2.5mm wire prob wont run that, I would be asking a professional if its standard wiring. I have to put in 6mm wire to my shed I plan to run 4800w but with 2 elements on 2 circuits.

i'm a sparky :laughing-rolling:

i've got 2 x 2400 watt elements. Running on 2 seperate circuits. I was gonna get 2 x 3600 watt elements but i was to lazy to wire in 2 new 15 amp circuits specifically for them :))

ahh thats good. Sounded like you were running a single 4800w unit :laughing-rolling: but apparently I found you can run 4800w on 2.5mm but its on its max :scared-eek:

You said 4400w so I presumed 2 x 2200w the maths aint that hard
