yeah ,,, but just an idea, notice you have .5m 2" ... if you buy 1m you could build a 2" shotgun condenser 0.5m long rather than a leigbig.... you will use less water and "should" have a faster vapour speed . ie faster run

well start with the leigbig then,,,, a shotgun will need high speed drill, drill bits up to 1/2" , either a grinder with a flapping sanding disk or a dremel.

A leigbig is easy a 3/4" to 1/2" reducer tee

just drill/dremel out the stop, solder it up... highly recommend the aqua safe solder and bakers flux (will last for future projects)

you can get everything you need leigbig wise from bunnings ... garden hoses can be clamped straight to the reducer tee :handgestures-thumbupleft:

maybe even use a tri clamp at the top... so in future you can upgrade the condenser ??? also makes it real easy to pack away

Leibig works pretty well for a 2" pot still and they are easy to make. Just don't overwhelm it with your gas burner (easy to do on gas). The longer it is, the more efficient it will be, within reason. Good start out rig.

What alcohol percentage would you expect to get out of a TPW wash run though a pot still. I know there are a lot of different factor that come into it but I just want a ball park figure??

Prob start coming out at around 60-70%, which will very quickly drop over the run...until you're down at about 10%ABV and you may as well shut her off :handgestures-thumbupleft:

It will work, but its not the best choice for TPW.
TPW is more of a neutral, vodka, tasteless style of drink. Tasteless is what you want from tpw, a pot is meant to make flavor, and dosn't do the best job of removing taste, in fact, the opposite is true.

You'll still get the same sort of figures (start as high as 80% and tapering down from there) but you wont clean it up that good. Maybe next time, try a rum or whiskey ferment, much more betterer for a pot still.

The ammount you get out of your still is determined by the ammount and strength of the charge, not the still.
