Pot still design and discussion

missing parts

Postby billz » Sun Feb 01, 2015 9:45 am

Hello there,
Complete newbie here, I purchased a stainless pot still on ebay , the seller said
it was missing some parts , as I have pictures in my computer but dont know
how to bring them out ,I will describe as best I can.
12lt stock pot brand masterclass base , and top half 12lt same stockpot with
three holding down clamps and 1/2" stainless tube 4" long with elbow protruding
from centre of this top pot. 2nd half of item is a tub with a stainless coil
inside ,bottom end through tub wall , top of coil out of tub by 6" with elbow. protruding from the centre. To my way of thinking these elbows need to be
joined by a pipe. but pipe length and height above one to the other is beyond
me............
thanking you billz

The seal is like a cord inserted in groove looks to be in good condition ,will use
flour putty to make sure. Meatheadinc ,you were right on the money when you
said Lyne arm missing, now need to know what type and length, google many types.

bill,
Thankfully Lyne arms are very easy to make. it's more about length=climate/coolant temp and what fits your rig and the resultant joiner you need.

Picy would assist
