Thanks mate. I used a Piccolo Stretching/Shrinking machine to make the lid using a bowl attachment. You have to continuously anneal the piece as it work hardens.

I then used the Jenny form roller (same one I used for modules in my Bender build thread) to for the lip. Then dressed it with a hammer.

Fits nice and firm.

Well done on the rest Linny. Looks the goods! Can't wait to see it put together!

That lid is a brilliant bit of work, Linny. Did you join the tube to the lid using Tig?

I used an Ac/dc Cicely Transtig 185 using copper sheet cut about 2mm wide for filler.

Well its pretty much together ,,, just having a shitfight with the gasket seals that im trying to make and basically setting up the shed again to be able to run quickly .... ive pretty much given up tonight but heres the pics .... ive only ran the boka,,, but i think the SS scrubbers are in a little tight becuase it seems to be building pressure in the lid.... going to re run the boka tomorrow and the Pot , quitely confident it should work now :violence-smack:

One thing that ive noticed ... is that even with 1500 watts , the 2.5" run really fast , and heats up quick too .. Im really surprised. the Boka was up and refluxing at temp within 15 minutes . then the power control it down ....

Well bit of a update. Got some feints off big d... had a play with the boka, first real run. Made 2 mistakes I reduced the power cuz I thought it was over powering the condenser coil which means I didnt get enough reflux. Turns out the top thermometer was touching the side wall giving me a false indication, and because I ran faster meant abv was low at 85%. Still happy how clean it came being feints.. well lessons for next time  could also use new thermometer since the ones I got from eBay are crap

I know it's been a while Linny but I'm wondering how your still is running. I'm running a simple pot still on a 12L stainless boiler and was thinking of doing a boka head for it as well.

Love the build dude,found output temps high on mine so followed someone elses advise,slipped a bit of 1/2 inch over the output tube ,cut 2 short bits of 1/4 tube ,poked them in each end ,used side cutters to crimp 1/2 inch inbetween 1/4 inch tubes,then soldered up.cheers hillzabilly

It works well. Does come out hot as billy says. 2 1/2" is probably too big for 1500 watts

I dont think that power is excesive for your column size ,more of a case that your boiler is on the small side for that column size .If ya doubled ya boiler size I think you would be fine,a smaller element could also work but then your runs will take longer.cheers hillzabilly
