Column Packing

Postby northernbrewer » Sat Sep 20, 2014 8:28 pm

Just wondering, about to pack a Boka with copper and stainless (build pics to come). Packed section is 1.5m and I'm looking at .5m copper and 1 m of stainless scrubbies. Wanting to know opinions on which packing should be on the top of the column and which should be at the top??

Well if it helps, in my boka i have a mix. From the top down, i have ss scrubies, copper, ss scrubbie, ceramic bits, ss scrubbies. It sort of seperates all the kinds of material for easy seperating when cleaning. Mine seems to work ok. I'm not sure if it matters i think the main thing is that there is copper in there somewhere. Hope that helps.
