looked everywhere today could even get any 3/8" gear Blackwoods didn't stock it, pirtek only had 1 3/8 eblow compression fittings. The Boka is easy to build the parts are hard to find, need 2 X 3/8 elbow compression fittings and a 3/8 SS ball valve with compression fittings just can't find em that easy.

Yer I use the one with the blue handle it works fine I just hated the blue handle so I fashioned up a bit of stainless. Also if you want one don't be in a hurry mine took about 3 weeks to turn up.

Now I'm not 100% sure but I would think the thread is 3/8 bsp (normal pipe thread) and the other end most likely fits 10mm pipe, now I'm not sure if that would also fit 3/8 copper. You my need to see if you can find one that has both ends 3/8, even then not sure if our 3/8 copper is the same as china's.

Yes you are right it is NPT is used in Australia, oh well wasted $10 :angry-banghead: I was sure I read somewhere BSP was used in Australia, at least I found out now and not in a month. I may just have to wait and see what comes as I am using 3/8" take off tube.

Got a little more done just need to solder my take off line in and most of the column is finished besides a better polish.

Bsp "British standard pipe" is a common thread type it is used in Australia I was referring to the collar end maybe not being compatible.

Yep the compression fitting is wrong I think, confirming with seller now if so might just have to make something. Don't really know what to do there is but don't think it will screw into the needle valve ~x(

Yer I was a tight arse with the compression fittings I just drilled out some stainless bungs I had and soldered them to the copper. Only problem now is if I had to take the valve out I'd have to sweat off the support arm on my libig cooler to unwind it all. I'm sure you'll work something out.
By the way your head looks great, good work

I'm fairly sure NTP and BSP are the same thread pitch and size.....only BSP has a taper on it where as NTP is parallel.

I think they will screw together

In my experience, and fittings below 1/2" in a mix of NPT and BSP usually make a perfectly fine seal
Just wait until they get here, use a little thread tape and you will most likely get away with it

Anyone think this would be a waste of time putting this tube at the top of my packed column, I know its not much but got over getting hot copper pieces in the face was about 2 meters of 3/8" tube, all that cutting for such a small amount.
