T500 Copper condenser

Postby Arismac » Mon Feb 11, 2019 3:51 pm

I am probably going to change my Stainless Steel T500 condenser column to copper. Is there much to be gained by also changing the T500 lid to copper as well?

No point doing either if you have copper mesh in the column :-B

I think the copper T500 is more show than go, or rather it's the same as the SS unit, both have copper in the same places that vapour etc are exposed too. The main difference in end product will be how their packed or operated. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Not that SS is finger print friendly either lol, but copper looks much more sexy polished

Top answer, thanks. I am looking forward to pulling all the saddles and then packing the condenser below the thermometer with copper mesh. I intend to also pack the Botanical Basket with copper mesh for the first run.
