Yeah I reckon a keg boiler would be hardly worth while on a 4" bok, your going to want at least 100L IMHO

mmm... was thinking that too, it wouldnt fit in the highest part of my shed, we would have to remove a column section but we have a 200lt SS industrial cooker fully set up waiting for the next build after I finnish "HighTower" and as with all my builds they will interchangeable for what we what to do.

We finished our cleaning runs, we ran through a charge of 35 to 40 lts @ 18% and for our first serious run with "HighTower" we got four and a half lts of 94% before it started to drop of quick and we pulled the plug, this run was done with only the lower column packed with SS scrubbers and no insulation and ran well, refluxed well...all in all we happy with our results. fyi.

around 2 lts per hr...we refuxed HT for 30 minutes to start with then we done two ten minute refluxes to maintain our abv, tails kicked in @88%. then we pulled the plug.

"Hightower" has morthed into a 4" pot for quick stripping runs then once we get enough low wines we are going to throw in perforated plates x 5 into the lower column and see what we get out of him...once more all are interchangeable to suit our needs...pictures to follow... what are your thought on this?
