Andy,

Just a quick sugestion, with the plastic offtake maybe change it for copper????? Plastic in contact with highly concentrated alcohol is'nt the best way to go, not 100% sure but it may be a 3\8 bit of copper that'ld fit over it.

Thought I'ld throw it out there ;)

Yeah Spud I thought the same but then realised it's not really a plastic, it's called ledathene or something like that and is supposed to be non toxic and comes standard with the T500.

I have no idea what the MSDS is on it because I didnt look for it, so I'd say proceed with caution if using it.

Good pick up all the same

ledathene? ok never heard of it, I'll have to see what I can find on it, I'll look at the MSDS on it tomorrow at work if I get a bit of time.

I did shoot SS an email about the health implications of 90+ alc running down a plastic tube but never heard back, LHBS guy just said its a food grade plastic that wont harm me.
I was thinking about asking Mr McStill if we could do something.
I am not the "handiest" person and couldnt see a way of attaching a solid pipe.

I used a bit of 3/8 copper tube on the one I had, you'll just need to drill the tube out a little to get it to fit and put a couple of wraps of PTFE tape around the join.

Cheers.

I will send through a picture of mine, just need to work how to download it.

Msctill, yours is impressive.

Mine is the same as spuds, but I have an old 45l boiler with a domed lid. I can be a pain in the arse having to flour paste the lid it all the time, but it does allow for easy cleaning.

(Spud your grass needs a mow.)
