This is a good start http://wiki.homedistiller.org/Boka_Refl ... w_To_Build It looks like a long and complicated read but it's really quite good, contains some really useful stuff like slant plate templates and guides to winding the condenser etc.

Also have a gander at Mr E's charity still for some good piccys and more clues.... Stainless ferrules, elements, various fittings and goodies can be had from 5Star (www.5stardistilling.com.au)

I'm going to put up some piccy's and info on my build soon, just waiting on a couple of bits and bobs from the states to turn up.

Best of luck, it's great fun building these things :obscene-drinkingcheers:

Plumbing Co-ops, sometimes scrap yards or you can do what I did and get bent over the counter at Reece :))

50L keg.... once the spike is removed the top can be used as a flange to clamp a 2" ferrule (this can be brazed to the column).

I've also got a 3" ferrule welded on top as a fill port and viewing window (5Star sells all the gear) and for heating I've got a 2" ferrule welded out the side which accepts one of punkins elements and guard kits.

*edit*

It's probably worth noting that everyone recommends attaching a tap to the bottom to drain the keg too..... I'm ten times the man of anybody here and can lift a full keg with a mere twitch of my erect penis so I haven't attached one. (read: too lazy and too much of a tight arse to put one on at the moment)
