Thoughts?

Postby nevalicious » Wed Oct 24, 2012 10:56 pm

Hi all. Recently joined up, looking at upgrading my pissant Still Spirits Refluxer. It's now sitting proudly atop a 50L electric powered keggle, and looking right stupid... How does this http://www.brewhaus.com/Essential-Extractor-PSII-High-Capacity-Distiller-Keg-Kit-P1018.aspx look as an upeade to my shitty little still. I'm not sold on it yet, but it looks pretty good. A mate linked it to me the other day and it for me thinking...

Thanks fellas!

Thoughts?

Is that from the US? With freight will be quite expensive.

If you have a little bit of skill and persistence you could build your own out of copper or look at the co op store on the homepage.

If neither of them appeal pm macstill he should be able to build you what you need.

What do you want to make with it?

Hi mate,
I think it would be ok, there are a few things to consider primarily the hefty postage and international bank fees. Which puts the unit up in price with something like this aussiedistiller.com.au/webstore/index.php?route=product/product&path=62&product_id=68 which is in all likely hood a vastly superior product. I would also do a search for cooling management vs liquid management as im pretty sure its a CM unit vs the link which is a LM and would provide greater control.

These are comments from a noob so take them with a grain of salt =)

Very valid points lads. I didn't look too closely it seems.

The friend that linked it for me said it was from across the ditch. OK, looks like McStill is the man then. I just need to decide exactly what I need, then I'll pull the trigger
