Hi Again Guys,
Been a while since my first G'day post, been madly reading up on here and HD and even more madly fermenting TPW's, DWWG's and Molasses washes
Great news is that thanks to you guys on here (Particularly the guys on the airstill thread) I've had a couple of amazing outcomes.
1. My Airstill went from seconds away from the bin (thanks to the LHBS turbos) to regular use thanks to the advice and recipes on here.
2. The Minister for War and Finance has gone from "This distilling is a total WOFTAM to "when are you making me some more"
and
3. The above mentioned minister has decided she wants me to build a "proper still" and has authorised the expenditure in the latest budget estimates.
:D :)) :happy-partydance:
So after more time reading all your threads and comments I was planning on building a 2" Boka based on the "easy build" recommendations on here and that we like both neutrals and flavoured's so a detuned Boka for the Rum/Bourbon seemed the go.
Then I saw this:
http://homedistiller.org/forum/download ... &mode=view
And given my access to the parts (nice to have an industrial plumber in the family) the Offset seems it would be an easier build (for me)
IF it can be detuned in much the same way the Boka can. It seems to me it should be much of a muchness but I've found there is a shitload of stuff about distilling that seems straightforward but is as bent as a politician's morals.
So my very long winded but rather short question is:
Can the Offset be detuned in the same way the Boka can and produce comparable results?
Cheers and thanks again
