copper

Postby Plumby » Sun Jan 18, 2015 7:26 pm

Hi all just a quick question about copper and its positioning. Does it make any difference where it is i.e. I can hang some copper mesh from the bottom of my column and have it hang just above the boiling wash where it is in the vapour path or does it have go be in the column?

Thanks in advance. Plumby.

Hi Plumby,

Others might be able to give a better answer but I will try.

You want the copper positioned such that as much vapour as possible comes in contact with it.

If you hang it in the boiler then most of the vapour will be able to bypass it as compared to having it in the column where the vapour has to go through it.

Hope this helps,

Richard
