copper packing essencia

Hey guys. So i went to the local hbs and he said yup got xopper packing. So thought id help the local guy out as the price was reasonable i thought. Anyway this is the gear i got http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=221802475420&alt=web
No as its legit essencia packing i dont doubt its usable. But why is it SO golden and not copper looking at all. I packed it around my condensor coil. The bottom of it has been effected and changed colour even just after a cleaning run with the boka. Wondering who uses it any info on it...

So this is what essencia stuffs their columns with.... glad i didnt buy 1 in the begining. Now i gotta try pull it outa the coil haha
