First still: VM or CM?

G'day fellas,

Been doing a lot of reading in the "Reflux Stills" section. It seems like a lot of blokes build VM stills for their first, neutral, project. I was planning on building a CM for making neutrals. Am I barking up the wrong tree?

Cheers,

Hsv8.

Hi ya HSV,
I built a VM based on what I researched online.
However, (big disclaimer), I have never seen or run a CM, (or LM for that matter), but from what I found info wise, among other things, the VM is the easiest to control.

Cheers Phil

My first build was a VM as well.

If neutral is what you want then the VM is the automatic luxury model.

There's some really cool ideas floating around these days on valveless VM, that use a condenser above and below the offtake.

Cheers,

Mech.

Thanks for your input fellas. The automatic, luxury model that's easy to drive hey? Sounds like a no brainer.

I'll do some more research, then come back here with a plan.

Cheers,
