yep was discussing a LM or VM but a will suggest a coil condenser will be more efficient and easier to build
a shotgun RC could be built if needed at a later time

isnt a double wound coldfinger much more efficient that a shotty? and far less hassle to make.

it looks like i just repeated exactly what you said Meat, wasnt supposed to come out like that..
The point being, why would you even bother considering a shotty... what situation warrants their use as opposed to a more efficient condenser.

Bubblers use a shotgun condenser because the design allows it to be placed in line to the column.
There is also minimal chance of vapour bypassing the cooling coil.
Have fun winding a 4" cold finger.
