It has a beautiful fruity aroma with nothing objectionable at all, a little more oak time would be nice.

Side by side it beats St Agnes easily and also St Remy IMHO.
The earlier Chardonnay I did wasn't as great and will need the oak time.

Tomorrow I'm doing a Chardonnay from a different year, a 1999. Let's see how it compares to the Pinot and the previous Chardonnay run.

I will be interested in the comparison, the only brandy I have done was an unwooded Chardonnay and it wasn't brandy off the still, it took a couple of months on oak but then it was very nice.

I actually have some outer cuts still on oak that I hope turn out real interesting ;-)

OK, well I've done the second Chardonnay and I reckon it's pretty much like the first...not brilliant like the Pinot.
I'll strip all the Chardonnay to neutral as I'll be needing it for my gin recipe development anyway and vodka infusion trials.
There's still another Pinot run to be had so at least there's 1 more good brandy run to come.

Spiced Mac Rum, I'm surprised at how good it is. 2 others have tried it and love it... another distiller on his way round to taste it in 10 mins.
