I should add that the tails added would have to be of at least simmilar or prefereably higher abv than the charge to get a gain. If you add 2l of 90% tails to a 40l 10% wash, the results will be very different to 2l of 40% tails added to 40l of 40%.
Adding 2l of 20% tails to 40l of 40% would be a step backward as the tails boil point would occur earlier as the overall wash would be weaker

yeah I hear ya.
I figured that pulling 90% off im still getting tails so even after refluxing alot of the undesirables its still tails.
and my all feints run that was 40% abv still had a decent amount of tails and that's with a 40% wash.

He replaces his plug every six uses.
How does he go using his radiators in winter. He must buy more plugs than mittendorp.
How often do I need to change the one on my fridge and freezer as they cycle a dozen times a day

I had a bit of a search cause that looks like something I'd like to avoid personally :hand:
Theres a few different casuses, loose sockets arcing to the pins, corrosion in the socket and leaving the circuit live while plug/unplugging causing arcs are the main ones.
I dare say many of us are guilty of the last one
They urgently need an electrician to go through that whole circuit and look for cooked wires, no doubt the socket/outlet needs replacing at the minimum

You'd think after the first couple of plugs they would check out the cause, took me longer to type this than to work out the likely issue

Keep em coming, what not to do is just as useful as a how to

I don't think people realize how dangerous this hobby can be when not done correctly

In regards to the plugs I have plugs that have been in use since 2014 and still going well, used to get the odd arc at a previous house when I unplugged with things still turned on. I now turn things off before I unplug.

10hr at 10amp continuous load on 10amp outlets I do get a little warm but nothing to be worried about

Not sure who the hell likes to drink heads but no thank you, also wonder how small there still is or how broke they are to need to drink heads

I got 10L of 40% Vodka out of a leftovers run the other day without keeping any heads

I ran my listeriod the other weekend and the engine was doing 1100rpm :scared-eek: so the 5Kw genhead was throwing out 300 volts and over 60 hertz and on the current gauge it was showing 14 amps, my forklift battery charger was throwing 60-70 amps into the battery for about 5 hours and the 10 amp plug and wire didn't even get warm. Mind you the fans on the charger were doing a good job of warming the shed as the transformer was close to saturation, now when I wire sockets up I solder the wires on rather than use the petty clamps that come on the sockets.

Can't put brains where they don't fit.

I'm a member of that group. I read it when i'm eating my weetbix in the morning. Puts a smile on my dial for the day. Never bothered commenting or offering advice because a. not using my real name and b. too many dickheads that have NFI what they are doing and others offering outright dangerous suggestions.

Ok so I need to get rid of at least 150 ml per 25 litres, I thought that was only for all grain.

I am sure on an earlier post they said you did not need to throw our fores on sugar washes, so I been keeping it all.

Is it me or are TVs not as bright as they used to be lol

Omg really !!! Are some people prepared to sacrifice taste for a few extra litres

hey, if you don't want to be on facebook, fair enough.
don't go bagging it just because you know sweet FA about it.
yes, the groups alluded to on here are wank.
i've had a faecebook account since 2012, when my best mates 20 YO son died from a mysterious disease in 3 days.
i have posted twice in 8 years and have 1 friend (my daughter).
a few of my good mates use it to keep in contact with their family over east and NZ.
so it has it's advantages if used properly, just don't be Luddite and proclaim 'Never been on Facebook, never want to be'
