Adams distillery fire

Postby tubbsy » Tue Feb 09, 2021 12:39 pm

There has been a major fire at a large distillery here in Tasmania this morning. Apparently a young guy was mixing gin when the fire started and suffered serious burns. Only speculation on my part, but sounds like a rogue spark could have ignited the fumes.

Alcohol fire need fast access to cool water and if get burnt the quicker can cool down would think that if mixing they would do in a separate building like when have stored flammable paint .
