Howdy all,
my local pistol club that I'm a member of needs a new hot water urn for making tea & coffee. They don't have power so need something that can sit on a gas ring. Any ideas?

Cheers, Filthy.

there's a 29L LPG urn, depends on how much tea you sup and how much money you want to throw at it
not cheap at $1800, but it has all the bells and 'whistles' (but probably no whistle)

i have a big 7L kettle for camping, it's about 25 years old, but i can't find anything that big at the moment.
maybe get a S/S tap welded onto a big S/S stock pot?

$1800 is a bit pricey for something that'd only get used once a month.
Also, probably only need about 10 to 15 litres.
Can you get stockpots or boilers that are taller rather than wider & lower?

A lot of the outdoor stores like anaconda sell crab cookers / turkey fryers. You’d just need to add a ss tap so you could pour the brew. They normally come with the stand and gas ring for south of $200.

Cheers

Tap a keg? Kegs are down to $30 or so in brissy theses days, just don't fill it up fully
My still burner is one of those Turkey fryers, deff overkill for this job, just keep an eye on market place for a cheap 2-4 ring burner. A shroud will pretty much halve the boil up time.
I can think of a few options involving coils of copper, but I wouldn't trust average joe with it lols
