ATTN ALL MEMBERS PLEASE READ AND REPLY

Postby The Stig » Mon Dec 26, 2011 11:55 pm

Hi Gang,
As most of you know we had a couple of bad days, virus/malware infection, redirect attack and at one stage a DDOS attack and some other shit I wont go into and I have been working harder than a hooker on fathers day to clear things up (not my idea of a great Christmas but....shit happens).
As far as I can tell we are back to normal but I can only see so much and I need some feed back.
I need to know if everything is working "as normal" for you guys/gals.
So, is the site working properly ?
Is your computer OK ?
If you need help "fixing" your pc due to the mess we had shoot me an email including your phone number and I will do whatever I can to help.
Cheers
Stig
stig at aussiedistiller dot com dot au and I will get back to you as soon as I can (if your in another country I may call at some ungodly hour :laughing-rolling: )

Everything is fine for me. The only issue i noticed was that the site loaded as a list at one stage, i refreshed and it was normal.

Apple users will be fine, no virus threat for you
With the TXT style forum that some of you are seeing, all thats need (I think) is for you to clear cache/cookies and history.
I am aware of the pictures missing but cant do anything further till tomorrow.
Time for me to sit back and have a few beers   its been a stressful couple of days.

You have spyware Don, start the computer in safe mode with networking.
Download malwarebytes and do a full system scan, it will remove the spyware - Nortons will not remove this.

I am still experiencing some issues with the Forum Index page coming up as a list and having to refresh it in both of the browsers I use, IE and Firefox

I just had a devil of a job loging in. Not sure why just now as I didnt experience this earlier in the day when logging in. I will investigate this to ensure spellings of login in and password were correct, even though I checked when typing it in manually, the rums may have affected my typing fingers

I am running Norton 360 V5, so should be automatically protected here, but am curious as to which malware/virus hit the forum. Ever since the hit, I have had some issues with IE crashing for no apparent reason which it has never done in the last 6 months since I formatted and upgraded to Windows 7 Enterprise. The Norton system scan of my computer has not turned up anything except tracking cookies.

I think on behalf of forum members that you deserve a gold star award for your dedication and effort

cheers, Icarus

Hey Stig and belated seasons greetings to you (and the other you ;) ....
No probs for me now but Avast seemed to 'sandpit' something and give the the 'get me out of here' button, which, of course, I did.

Thanks for the malwarebytes tip etc too (I will install/run today) and enjoy those beers mate 8-)
