I would say if you had 3" at the bottom and 2" up the top you would still do the 2" speeds but the 3" would help hold back the tails for longer giving larger hearts cut. but still at the 2" speeds. like a thumper kind of but a reflux column. It would clean up the tails part more. heads would still be usual same run speed. Is this how it is set up?

You will increase run speed as your main column will be larger.
Fully pack with whichever medium you choose and you will get better purity.
As for holding tails back it will depend how you run your still :handgestures-thumbupleft:
