What’s the site glass for?

Also not the best idea to link to things with your actual name on it....

Thanks for the tip guys. I'm a dingus for not thinking of that... Any idea how to edit the post?

I'm putting a sight glass below the RC so I can see the magic happen.

Being a fridgy I wanted it perfect but struggled using Mapp gas as I couldn't get access to an oxy. Oh well it doesn't look as pretty.

Have done several birdwatchers and people can't tell that it's home made Voddy! I'm dang stoked.

Now to make a pot still for some gin and whisky... Recommendations for designs please...

Nice job mate, looks the goods :handgestures-thumbupleft:

The boka does make great neutral, slow but great :))

You have a pot still right there. Remove the packing and run it with the output tap completely open. Strip it flat out then use a power controller to slow it down for a spirit run.

Good luck mate.

Thanks woodduck! Does it matter about column height using it as a pot? Or could I just put the condenser head straight on the keg?

Cheers,

J

Heat is not a massive concern with a pot still.
You might want a bit of height to allow you some time to stop a puke before if spurts out the condensor.
300mm or so?
I would definitely have the glass section at the keg, then an extension and finally out to the PC.

Or set it up as a hybrid pot still.
