Brisbane copper pipe?

Postby mitcho89 » Sat Jul 21, 2012 8:53 am

Hey guys,

Finally cracking the shits with commercial "hbs" distilling setups so I thought I'd have a crack at making a 1.5m total length 2" Boka. Anybody have a good idea of where to get copper of that size? So far I'm not having a great deal of luck!

Reagrds - Mitch.

Gooday mate, i've err taken up a new hobby with several mates that needs plenty of copper( Look inocently upward) we'll be needing plenty of tubing, fittings etc over the next few months, so thought I'd pop in and ask for your best price on a few starter bits we need for the first one. Looking for your best price on ....

Post trans...thanks mate see you in a couple of weeks for the next lot....

Fantastic! Thanks for the help gentlemen. Does a 2" Boka sound a little too ambitious for a first though? I used to be into spud guns before brewing. Not the pvc and hairspray variety but 400psi pneumatic precision machined piston valved 1000fps variety! :D I'm more than used to working with copper apart from soldering but the amount of information around should make it easy, plus I have a few friends who are plumbers so I think I'm set! I can see the whole thing complete costing about 150ish. Sound like a ball park figure?

Hi Mate,

Did you end up finding a good place to supply copper? I attempted to try TradeLink at Browns Plains today to see if I could find some 1/4" Copper Pipe. They dont do it... :-(

Regards,

Matt
