I have only done two rum washes and the second is ready to be run through the still anytime now. These washes have been made using McStill's recipe to the T, however, I used the food grade refinery molasses bought from Southern Cross Supplies here in Sydney. These washes do not show any signs of a krausen whatsoever when fermenting and they do not puke.
If have no explanation as to why there would be a difference.
