Good day,
I have a home brewing setup and want to branch out to include distilling
Don't have the equipment and expertise to build a slant Boka so am going for the double reducer. I'd like any comments and suggestions on my proposed design:
54mm x 1.1m column, copper mesh packing to 700 mm
20cm double wound condensor, 6mm - flow 1l/min 20C water
54 to 22mm reducer
30l keg for 25l sugar wash
gas fired ~ 2000W
3/8" offtake, 1/2" SS ball valve
Air cooled offtake condensor coil (brewing kit 10m x 9mm cooling coil)
Specifically is the column long enough - is the packing long enough and is the 22mm reducing hole big enough?
Ive done the calcs on the HD site and it seems oK
