TFFV variant(s)

Have been experimenting again.

This time for even more flavour
For 25l and will scale up in ratio
In place of the wheat bran, use 150g of rolled oats (the breaky cereal type) and 100g crushed rye. (rye flour if the coarser stuff is not available)
Do the simmer as per usual and follow the rest of the standard procedure.

For a more caramel flavour use soft brown or raw sugar.

Both of these are great white and after a month or more on oak come up beautifully.

Be keen to have others give it a crack

Sounds interesting Teddysad. Where are you getting your rye? Are you buying it flaked or just milling your own?

buying it whole and putting it through my mill. have several sources close to me for bulk sacks but many health food type stores also sell it.
