Easter rush

Postby bt1 » Fri Mar 22, 2013 6:43 am

Howdy,

if your heading off wd ...enjoy!

if not well let's get fired up for a extra run or two over Easter.

Dam try that new grain bill you've been considering, make a neutral for a few flavoured Vodkas, buy the extra fermenter you've been considering...

Nothing worst that sitting there on Easter Monday at 6pm thinking I could have...

Personally I'm planning to put 48+kg of sugar to better use than making coffees and easter buns this weekend.

Get fired up!

I have a a quick hint for you, when your partner asks you why you look so pensive during [ahem] intimate moments, don't say:
- "Calculating abv from specific gravity"
- "Thinking about condenser coolant connections"
- "heat transfer"
- etc.

A simple "how much I love you" is much better in this scenario.

Man I haven't stilled anything for a couple months now. Been too busy building a pergola roof and BBQ area and installing a new stove and a million other shit jobs the missus has me doin round the house....still been drinkin though hahah something gotta give soon most likely I will run out of spirit. Best get some shit happening in the fermenters over Easter too. Gonna forfeit my usual Easter camping trip ..worst possible time to go camping seems every fuckwit in his commy station wagon gets let off his leash to go and smash some stubby bottles in their campfire.

I got 70 litres of rum to run, at least 80 litres of bourbon, but they have been waiting till I had a still to use, so they can wait a little more if need be. Hopefully it dosn't get sold before I can give it a serious test.
But I'm keen to run my slivovitz/plum brandy. The wash I made from the "shit" plums smells fantastic. The little drum with the "good" plums in it dosn't smell as nice. But I'll wait and see before making a serious judgment.

So I'm hoping to get it stripped and back on the pulp for another 2 weeks.

Hopefully the easter bunny won't poop on the lounge floor like he did last year. I like to set a rabbit trap at the door, then explain to the kids what its for. Their expession is priceless :laughing-rolling:
