I use one. I’m new at the hobby but in my opinion it works well and worth using.

Make your own filter, I made one once out of parts from my still, it is modular for a reason, worked great but I never bothered using a filter again after learning to do my cuts right.

Highly recommend unless you are a master at cutting.

I find I can process more product by using the shoulders. Fine balance between quality and quantity.

Otherwise I only end up with about 2l of pure from a 100l wash. Carbon gives me 3-4l.

That sounds like you are tossing a lot of good ethanol there rolls.
Is that through you pot still? Surely not your boka.
Should get atleast 1.5-2L of 95.6% from a 25L wash.
Carbon will only really clean tails up.

Related to this filter (I love mine, as my cuts are not 100% accurate but im getting better! and I like the reduced bite on my spirits)

I designed a clamp to hold the pipe while ya refill it with carbon. Free to download and print yourself. Its still a work in progress so comments/feedback welcome.

If you dont have a 3d printer inbox me and Ill see if I can help you out.

To the mods and Admins, the link above is to a 3d printing file repository, all files on there are free to download, if not allowed totally understand if the link is removed.

It works well, but there is always room for improvement.
