Top job Swede......your going to love running that thing.
Got mine going for the first time last night with a cleaning run of old feints and other rubbish I had laying around, had a couple of teething problems then all was well.

Here's a video of the column running, there's a charge of low wines in the boiler, and it's producing around 5.5L per hour. The takeoff is 95%, distillate is cool, so it's not an inaccurate reading. I'm pretty impressed with how fast it is.

The sight glass windows are made from one of Mrs Swede's old baking dishes, cut with a hole saw, and beveled on my tile saw so they match the triclamp profile. A silicone TC seal with the rib cut off on the glass side seals it.

Thanks man, I'm blushing. I put that together this summer, it's kinda what started my mad building spree this summer and fall. (or winter and spring for you aussies) It's a hell of a lot better than what I started with, and I can say that it's nice working with a good rig. The difference in spirit quality is night and day. Control+Experience=Quality.

Thanks for the kind words guys!! A bit of an update for those who don't frequent AD....

I got some sight glass windows from artisan copperworks and they are very nice. Good work guys :8)

Got a few nice shots of them mounted up to the column, and I can say, they're a hell of a lot nicer than the ones I made from a pyrex baking pan.

I also got my dial thermometer in the mail as well and you can see it here too. Found it through ebay, from mainland valve and fitting out of texas I believe. It just looks better with one on there I think.

The thermometer and top sight glass.

Here you can see the glass and o-ring close up.
