That's not going to help a low ph... Citric acid will make it lower

Very common for home brewers to be out shaking the fermenters if the wash stalls. Careful tho - if it isn't ph and all the yeast needs is a nudge you might end up with foaming wash everywhere if the fermenter is too full.
