Another Pelican Build with a twist

Pot still design and discussion

The condenser is 700mm long 15mm from Bunnings. The tees are 15×15×25 also from Bunnings. I was going to use some sort of tap fittings to connect the hoses but decided against it mainly to keep the weight down. The lower (water intake) is 6mm s/s pipe that we use for instrument airline. The top was 10mm (9.5mm OD I think) which fits the existing T500 hose well.
I couldn't find any reducers for smaller than 1/2 inch(12mm) so I reduced from 15-10mm by packing the joint with a couple of wraps of copper wire. This stops the solder just falling through the gap and makes a solid joint. On the water intake I reduced from 10mm to 6mm doing the same. I took a couple of photos and was going to post this process in the tips and tricks section. Hope this helps

Do you make rum with yours? How many litres wash do you put in to be safe from puking/foaming ? I ordered my boiler last Friday and hope to build my pot built this week sometime :handgestures-thumbupleft:

If it is a T500 boiler then 25l will be the fill line. There is a max line inside indented into the boiler o show you the max limit. I have gone over this many times but i wouldnt go to far over or it will puke into the column

As a rule u want to leave 1/3(boiler size) of head room with rum to stop puking

Cool sounds good. I got some progress done on mine just gotta wait on an email from mac for some stuff I need will be slightly different to the pelican you built as I couldn't make the 45 degree condenser angle work for me in my work space. Nice job cheers :handgestures-thumbupleft:
